Prevailing Grace is a book written by Laura Boggs.
Prevailing Grace is a short book that was written over the course of 10 years. It is based on one verse from Bible: 2 Peter 1:5-8.
Verse: For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. For if these things are yours and abound, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This book is a spiritual autobiography. The adventure of writing it was also the process of understanding this verse. Prevailing Grace both describes the day to day relationship between Christ and a Christain contemplative and also the results and occurrences of living in the world according to this relationship.
Spiritual understanding, like any understanding, is a process and this process, demanded of anyone willing to live according to the unimaginable and content with seeking the unknowable, begs the question: What could possibly make this process relevant? The answer is love; the nature of God.
